MEET THE TEAM

Mara Feil

Mara, Co-Founder of The Gut Center, is our fearless gut guru. Double Board Certified in Ayurveda, (with a specialty in Gut Health & Digestion) and Holistic Health & Nutrition, she's armed with Ayurvedic Nutrition training from Ayurveda’s World NYC and The Joyful Belly School Of Ayurvedic Diet & Digestion.

Adding to her expertise, she trained at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, is Board Certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners at SUNY Purchase, and is also certified in Orthomolecular and Functional Nutrition.

Bringing zen to the hustle, she's a longtime Transcendental Meditator. She's also served as Vice Chair of The Children’s Health Council at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine. Mara deeply appreciates Western Medicine and the role it plays when integrated with alternative approaches.

In another life, Mara graduated cum laude from Goizueta Business School at Emory University and Emory College with degrees in Business and Journalism. A Miami native, Mara's called New York City home for nearly 20 years, with her husband and two children.

Katie Curi

Katie grew up in Dallas, Texas and relocated to New York City after graduating with a degree in Textiles & Apparel and Business from The University of Texas at Austin. Her career took her through many roles at Macy’s and Coach and then to a third, very full-time gig as a mother of three within four years. Needless to say, she was around a lot of sh*t!

Katie has helped build The Gut Center into a community of nearly 600. As The Gut Center's COO, Katie has been instrumental in supporting the launch of REBOOT and ReENTRY programs, all with the purpose of changing the gut health of America on bow(e)l at a time.

She's a cheerleader and amazing resource for REBOOTers. Katie brings connection, levity and high-vibe energy to cleansers, even in the most challenging moments.
