This comprehensive test maps your gut microbiome, measuring hundreds of microbe species to detect any disruptions to your microbial balance from bacteria, yeast, viruses, or parasites in your gut. It screens for gut inflammation and markers of digestion, absorption, detoxification, hormonal, and immune function strength. We also measure intestinal permeability, which can increase the risk of food sensitivity development, and future gut inflammation.

Unlike food allergies, which present immediately, the symptoms of food sensitivities often occur hours or days after exposure, making it difficult to pinpoint the offending food(s) and masking the root cause of your chronic symptoms. 


Our sensitivity testing provides clear data and guidance to streamline your healing process so you can experience relief from your symptoms.

How Functional Lab Testing Works


STEP 1
Book a complementary 10 min call with Mara or Dr. Kallay to determine the lab tests that are ideal for you. Already know? Great! Purchase the Bundle of 3 Tests for the greatest clarity into your health situation.
 


STEP 2
 Lab kits arrive at your door. Complete the tests and mail back to the labs. Specific instructions are included in every kit.


STEP 3
About 2 weeks later, your results come in. Mara, our Ayurvedic Gut & Digestion Specialist, and our Medical Advisor, Dr. Dannette Kallay, review all reports and develop a customized protocol. We'll let you know when your results are in.

STEP 4
Book a consultation or package of consults with Mara or Dr. Dannette Kallay to review your results.

We'll provide you with a nutrition, food, and supplement plan that address the root cause of your microbiome imbalances and improves the health and functioning of your body.

A minimum of one consult (60 min) is required to review your lab tests. Consults are also sold in packages for greater guidance and education.

STEP 5
Some people need 1-2 sessions to understand and implement their plans of action. Others enjoy meeting weekly or biweekly for a period of time for ongoing support and accountability. How you continue is up to you.

Although FDA does not currently clear or approve laboratory-developed tests in the U.S., certification of the laboratory is required under CLIA to ensure the quality and validity of the tests.
