USDA Certified Organic Ghee from Grass-fed Cows
Unlike most of the waxy-tasting ghees out there, our strict quality, sustainability, and manufacturing standards produce the creamiest, sweetest, most nutritious ghee you’ve ever had.
Ghee is comprised of full spectrum short, medium and long chain fatty acids, both unsaturated and saturated. Ghee contains Omega 3 and Omega 9 essential fatty acids along with vitamins A, D, E and K. Ghee made from organic, grass-fed butter of pastured cows is one of the best natural sources of Conjugated Linoleic Acid, an antioxidant with fat burning, immune boosting, and cancer-fighting properties.
Grass-Fed means better nutrition
We use 100% USA-produced, certified organic unsalted butter from grass-fed cows to produce Liquid Gold Ghee. Grass-fed is an important characteristic of our product. The cows have access to pastures and naturally growing coastal grasses on an organic dairy farm in Northern California, at least 10 months per year, more than 19 hours per day. This results in a rich, deep yellow color that reflects its high omega-3 levels and nutrition.
Quality grass-fed ghee is vibrant yellow because it contains beta carotenes that only come from grass, not grain fed cows. Grain fed ghee products will be a paler yellow.
Enjoy liberally for optimal taste and health.

A Better Way to Butter
We use 100% USA-produced, certified organic, unsalted butter from grass-fed cows to produce pure, organic ghee. Slow cooked in small batches to remove water and milk solids from the golden oil, the resulting ghee is 100% pure and lactose and casein-free.
Ghee FAQ
How do I know for sure if your ghee is grass-fed?
Quality grass-fed ghee is vibrant yellow because it contains beta carotenes that only come from grass and not grain diets. Grain fed ghee products will be a paler yellow.
Isn’t ghee made from butter? How is it lactose-free?
During the cooking process, the butter is heated to separate it into three ingredients: water (which is boiled off), golden oil, and milk solid. The milk solids contain all the lactose in butter, and we go to great lengths to strain it all out, so what is left is just the golden oil - ghee!
Is it casein-free?
Yes! All of the lactose / casein is strained out in the boiling process.
Is this product Certified Organic?
Yes! All of our products are Certified Organic by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
Is your ghee Kosher?
Yes! We are Kosher Certified through cRc Kosher.
Is your ghee Gluten-Free?
Yes! All our products are Gluten-Free and produced in a Gluten-Free, peanut and tree nut free facility.
Are your products BPA-free? How are they packaged?
Yes! Our ghee is bottled in glass jars with metal lids
Why are people putting this in coffee?
Many folks are looking for alternatives to milk, cream, or artificial creamer for their coffee. This may be because they are on a paleo or ketogenic diet, or because they are lactose intolerant, or are looking for healthy lifestyle hacks. Ghee is often used as this alternative, and if you wish to try it we recommend adding a teaspoon of ghee to a cup of coffee in a blender for best results.
Will ghee liquify in the summer heat during shipping?
Ghee melts at 95 degrees fahrenheit, so depending on your location, during the summer months, you may receive a partially melted jar of ghee. This is entirely normal and will in no way impact the quality of the product.
If you wish to solidify your melted jar, we recommend removing the lid and placing your jar in an oven, set on low, to first fully liquify the contents. Once complete, put the lid back on and place in a refrigerator for a few hours. Your ghee will be solidified and can now be stored at room temp outside of your fridge.
